Architectural Review

How to get exterior changes approved while keeping First Ballston Commons cohesive and well maintained.

1 Understanding the process

To keep First Ballston Commons cohesive, exterior changes must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Committee before work begins.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Window or sliding door replacements (including trim)
  • Front door or storm door changes
  • Painting shutters, doors, or trim a new color
  • Fence replacement
Note Routine maintenance that keeps the same appearance (for example, repainting with an already approved color) usually does not need a full review. If you are unsure, please ask before starting.

2 Submit your request

Ready to start your project? Download the Architectural Approval Form, complete every section, add samples or brochures, and send it to the association management.

Approved Front Door Colors

The following Benjamin Moore colors have been pre-approved for front doors. Submit an application for record keeping when selecting one of these hues.
